Hotel Overview:

Located within the luxurious and sprawling resort complex of Madinat Jumeirah, Dar Al Masyaf is an exquisite hideaway which offers an intimate and luxe haven for couples and families alike. Dar Al Masyaf is made up of 29 elegant and spacious stand-alone Arabian and Gulf style summer courtyard houses, nestled amongst tranquil gardens, waterways, exclusive pools and Dubai’s longest private beach. The Arabian summerhouses were completely redecorated in summer 2015 and come with the resorts signature personalized butler service. Every summerhouse has a typical Arabian “Majlis” / common indoor living room and adjoining outdoor courtyard, where sundowners are served complimentary to guests every evening before they depart for dinner to one of the resort’s 40 restaurants by one of 3 ways: on foot, by buggies or by traditional Abra boats, along the romantic waterways or canals which meander thru the resort.

Inspired by the traditional Arabian courtyard summer houses and with no more than 11 rooms in each house, Dar Al Masyaf offers its guests privacy as well as easy access via buggies or waterways to the world class facilities of the vast Madinat Jumeirah resort complex. The Arabian Summer Houses are scattered around the resort and have the benefit of a private pool for every cluster of units, while the Gulf Summer Houses are located along the beach and offer excellent sea views together with easy access to the beach. Both options present the most luxurious accommodation within the Madinat complex.

Ambiance & Vibe:

A comforting & tranquil feel permeates this boutique hotel, which offers an intimate setting away from the hustle and bustle of its sister hotels  – the Al Qasr and Mina A’Salam, while offering all the perks of being part of a huge resort complex. Each of the summer houses is located around a central courtyard and comprises 8 or 9 rooms, with every few houses sharing a private pool. There is a feeling of peace, and exclusivity, yet you are only a short buggy or Abra ride away from the retail therapy and myriad F&B options at the Souk, the fun filled Wild Wadi water park, and the sybaritic Jumeirah Beach. The prompt buggy service and the traditional Abra boats both provide a relaxing and fun way of navigating around the property, which the kids would love.

Design & Style:

Dar Al Masyaf means summer houses. These authentically recreated two-story residential retreats are designed to provide sun-drenched spaciousness in the style of traditional courtyard summer houses of old Arabia. Each cluster of villas is located close to the waterways or to the beach and surround an intimate pool, providing the opportunity to relax in private.

Set amongst tranquil gardens, waterways, exclusive pools and the resort’s private beach, the intimate and exquisite summerhouses of Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf offers newly refurbished elegant and spacious guestrooms and courtyards, personalised and generous butler service and an understated Arabian luxury experience.

The summerhouses offer an exquisitely designed hideaway, large terraces overlooking the fresh seawater ways and high tech bedroom facilities. Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf’s luxurious guest rooms and suites are all located in Arabian-styled houses. All of the spacious rooms are decorated with furnishings of authentic Arabic style, and have luxury bathrooms.

The facilities on offer within the Madinat Jumeirah Souk and its hotels are extensive, with over 40 restaurants, bars and lounges to choose from, each with a unique cuisine, theme and style, you are spoilt for choice. The entertainment & dining options include some of the hippest rooftop bars, beach clubs and nightclubs, as well as probably the best Sunday champagne brunch in town, at the Al Qasr.

The guest at Dar Al Masyaf are appointed a personal butler and the level of service is impeccable. Besides the obvious F&B related services, the butlers are also excellent guides on Dubai and can help you craft a perfect list of “what to see” and “where to go” etc., based on your preferences. A special shout out goes to our head butler,  who went out of his way to ensure that we had a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Facilities & Activities:

Guest of the hotels in the Madinat Jumeirah resort complex have access to world class off-site golf & diving, excellent on-site Sinbad’s Kids Club at the Al Qasr, theatre, private beach, watersports, tennis and luxury yachts. The resort also provides extensive leisure and health facilities including the world famous Talise Spa and Talise Fitness, indoor and outdoor lagoon pools, as well as Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a traditional retail and dining experience with a world class array of restaurants, bars, lounges and nightclubs. One of the highlights of the Madinat Jumeirah experience is the romantic Abra boat tour around the resort, which follows the meandering waterways, and provides a ringside view into the wonderful world that is the Madinat Jumeirah.

Dar Al Masyaf is one of the three properties of the breathtaking Madinat Jumeirah Resort and represent its premium accommodation.  Madinat Jumeirah, which translates into the “City of Jumeirah,” is a make believe “Disneylandesque” city of contrasts – from the sublimely relaxing to the vibrant and exotic. A place of meandering canals, interspersed with gardens and wide open sea-scapes in the heart of the most fashionable district of Dubai. it is a luxurious oasis in which to relax, experience and interact. The concept is a recreation of “old Arabia” in a place where historic beauty meets new-fashioned luxury. Dubai’s longest private beach is on the door step as well as the over 80 shops, bars and restaurants of the Madinat Jumeirah Souk. Access to the world class Talise Spa & Health Club, state of the art tennis and squash courts, as well as to the popular Wild Wadi waterpark are available to all guests.

What We Love:

Madinat Jumeirah lies in a superb location along the prestigious Jumeirah beach strip, on the Arabian Coastline with a fantastic view of the iconic 7 star Burj Al Arab hotel, owned by the same group. Dubai International Airport is located 25 minutes away from the hotel. The property provides a complimentary shuttle service and complimentary admission to the popular Wild Wadi Water Park, Madinat Jumeirah Souk, the affiliated Jumeirah Beach Hotel as well as to the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Downtown and Dubai Mall.
