Turkey Itineraries
Overview

From Istanbul’s bazaars and mosques, to Bodrum’s blissful coastline, Turkey is awash with history, culture and outstanding natural beauty of picturesque landscapes and a beautiful coastline. With two of the Seven Wonders of the World located here, you won’t be disappointed with extraordinary sights and activities galore. Head to Istanbul for beautiful old mosques, busy markets and vibrant culture, or to Bodrum’s coast to seek out beaches, coves and islands, or go hot air ballooning over the lunarscape panorama of Cappadocia for a once in a lifetime experience.
Bordered by eight countries, this diverse and fascinating country with its cosmopolitan culture and wonderful cuisine is a gateway between East and West, full of Roman architecture, Byzantine art and Ottoman Palaces. Istanbul is a vibrant mix of Western and Eastern cultures; with beautiful old mosques and mystical bazaars, juxtaposed with luxurious hotels, funky bars and restaurants. Spend a few days exploring Istanbul’s old quarter, full of stunning landmarks such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. The coast around Bodrum is made up of small coves and islands, changing to long sandy stretches of beach around Antalya.
Cappadocia is a historical region and bucket list destination in Central Anatolia known for its distinctive landscape consisting of “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations, as if plucked from a whimsical fairytale and set down upon the stark plains. This amazing region is a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and towering boulders of otherworldly beauty. The fresco-adorned rock-cut churches of Göreme Open-Air Museum and the subterranean refuges of Derinkuyu and Kaymaklı are the most famous sights, while simply bedding down in one of Cappadocia’s cave hotels inside the maze of hidden tunnels and sculpted houses is a unique experience.
