ACTIVITIES:
Wildlife viewing and bird watching game drives within the central Serengeti are offered twice per day. Experienced guides encourage guests to see and experience the Serengeti through their eyes, sharing a world of small and large wonders that only they truly know and understand.
Balloon safaris are a romantic and iconic way of experiencing the wilderness of East Africa, as you fly silently over the plains teeming with herds of wildlife in the early morning. Typically, a balloon safari begins around 6 am and lasts for around 1-2 hours. Balloon safaris (additional cost) in the Serengeti take off from designated sites in the nearby Seronera area. The safari is followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush, a fitting end to a memorable flight over the wild.
Dunia welcomes children from 5 years of age and older. We guarantee a private safari vehicle to families of 4 or more during the low season, but during high season families with children under 12 are obliged to use a private game-viewing vehicle at extra cost. Our bush guides have a wealth of insightful experience and they will captivate you and your children with bush-wise facts, wildlife know-how, games, local customs, and incredible stories of life in the wilderness.
One of Africa’s most iconic moments – the migration of two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles around the Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem.

At the perfect meeting point between the Central Serengeti valley and the Southern Serengeti plains, the prime location of Dunia Camp promises prolific wildlife sightings, away from the heavy tourist traffic that frequents the region. This intimate and private camp caters for families, couples and small groups. Rising from the surrounding grassland like a granite oasis, the Moru Kopjes of the Central Serengeti are favoured by members of the big cat family. Lion and leopard are frequently seen surveying the game-dotted landscape below, while the Seronera River is home to high concentrations of impala, ensuring sightings of the lion, leopard and cheetah that are never too far behind.
Resting against the steady incline of Nyareboro Hill, Dunia Camp’s eight Tented Suites are adorned with airy en-suite bathrooms and a verandah furnished with chairs and coir mats. Dunia is a carbon-neutral camp intent on leaving a light footprint on African soil. A family-friendly destination, the camp offers game-viewing and birdwatching safaris twice a day. For a truly unique experience, indulge in a hot air balloon safari at dawn followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush.
There are eight tented rooms are Dunia Camp, set on a wooden platform to make the most of the views over the Serengeti. Each tent has a private veranda with a day bed and great views to watch the animals wander past. The en-suite has a double sink, a flush loo and a traditional bucket shower. The tents either have a large comfortable double bed or twin beds. There is limited electricity available in the tents, enough to power lights and there is a charging dock in the main mess tent to charge cameras and other appliances.

Guest Tent - 2 pax
Dunia Camp has eight large, luxurious raised guest tents with fantastic views from the veranda where morning coffee can be enjoyed. The tents have the option of being twins or doubles. There is a triple room available on request. The tents all feature king-sized beds, and en-suite bathrooms with flushable toilet and plumbed shower.

Family Tent - 4 pax
The family tent consists of a main room with king-sized bed and a separate, smaller room with two single beds. Each room has an en-suite with flushable toilet and plumbed shower. They share a large veranda with views out towards the kopjes.
Dunia Camp is owned and operated by Asilia Africa, a company renowned for its authentic properties spanning Tanzania, Kenya, and Zanzibar. Among our favourites in Asilia’s portfolio are Olakira and Ubuntu, both mobile camps in the Serengeti. Dunia has earned a great reputation for its good-value and high-quality accommodation, together with its sense of adventure, high standards of guiding, and superb levels of service overall. It’s booked on a full-board basis, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, guided game drives and walks, parking, and a laundry service. You can visit all year round.

Private Dinner
If you would like to make an evening special, you can organise to have a private dinner on the veranda of your tent.

Camp Dining
There are two communal mess and lounge tents for guests to meet and relax. The main area is the focal point of the camp and it has wonderful views out on to the Serengeti plains.
