Arctic TreeHouse Hotel provides a unique blend of luxury comfort in the heart of Arctic nature, local Lappish traditions and modern Scandinavian design. In contrast to the meticulously designed accommodation and nest-like cosiness, the panoramic views from the windows provide impressive spectacles of the forest and Arctic skies: the Northern Lights and Midnight Sun can be admired from the comfort of your bed. The cosy, nest-like Arctic TreeHouse Suites, the Arctic GlassHouses with their own private sauna, and the luxurious ArcticScene Executive Suites sit in their own tranquil location on a steep wooded hill slope. What they all have in common is an enchanting ambiance and the breathtaking views of the northern skies provided by the panoramic windows.
It is not just accommodation: it is an experience, where you are surrounded by the arctic nature throughout your stay. Carefully selected materials, unique design, and – above all – respect for the surrounding nature, are the basis of our concept. And the tastes; our exceptional Rakas restaurant serves local delicacies prepared in stylish surroundings using Arctic ingredients. We warmly welcome you to the Arctic TreeHouse for a wilderness adventure beneath the wondrous Northern Lights, or perhaps an unforgettable visit to the Santa Claus Secret Forest – fairytale world of Christmas? Our experience packages include arctic activities that are sure to make your holiday one you will never forget.
Morning in the forest inspired the interior design for our Arctic TreeHouse Suites. The gentle, warm natural materials combined with light shades enhance the nest-like ambiance of the suites. Seven suites have a kitchenette and they can be connected to the adjacent rooms to form a family suite. Our five Arctic GlassHouses have two bedrooms that comfortably accommodate up to six persons. Each cabin has its own fireplace, sauna and kitchenette. The luxurious ArcticScene Executive Suites all have a separate living room and bedroom, and a special wellness area for a spa-like atmosphere.

Arctic TreeHouse Suite
Arctic TreeHouse Suites have a high-quality double bed or two separate beds, and some also have a nest-like extra bed. The centrepiece of the stylishly decorated room is the panoramic window that offers views of the skies over the treetops. The beds are positioned to best enable enjoyment of the views while comfortably lying down. Facilities in the bathroom include underfloor heating and rain shower heads.

Arctic GlassHouse
Arctic GlassHouses have an atmosphere-rich lounge, two bedrooms with high-standard double beds and an impressively fitted kitchenette. The lounge has a real fireplace, offering a cosy place to warm yourselves up after an active day of Arctic adventures. Cabin amenities also include your own private sauna and spacious decking area offering spectacular views of the northern skies. The sofa in the lounge is also a sofa bed for two people.

ArcticScene – Executive Suite
ArcticScene Suites are designed for ultimate relaxation and comfort luxury. The suites have a separate bedroom and living room, where the large sofa and nest-like bed can accommodate even larger families. The living area can be turned into a dining area using the movable furniture without compromising the design and air-like feeling throughout the suite. The bedroom has a custom-made king size bed and a separate wellness area for a spa-like atmosphere. The wellness area brings nature closer than ever with its scenery sauna and bath where one can enjoy the surrounding forest through the floor-to-ceiling windows made using the latest privacy-valuing technology.
Rakas Restaurant & Bar, located in the main building of Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, charms with its unique ambiance and menu of meals made from local ingredients prepared with a modern twist. As you sit by the beckoning fireplace beneath the pine cone lamps, the delicious flavours will create out-of-the-ordinary and divinely tasty moments.

Rakas Restaurant & Bar
Rakas Restaurant, the heart and hearth of the snowflake-shaped main building, strikes a balance between elegant new Nordic cuisine and the survivalist foragings of cable-knit-adorned mountain types. Pike perch hoiked from the hotel’s own lake is served with Lappish potatoes and white-roe dressing, reindeer is smoked and salted or drizzled in a game-y sauce, and distinctive desserts include lemon mousse with licorice and spruce-sprinkled bilberries. Join the crowd for brunch on Sunday or have an intimate chef’s dinner for two, starring whitefish ceviche and flambéed beef with reindeer-horn powder.

Hotel bar
The lounge doubles up as a toasty bar. A large fireplace is ringed by seats with fur throws slung over them and there are comfy sofas to plump down on, and wines, chilled and mulled, and craft brews bring merriness to proceedings.
Private Dining
f you want to give your visit something really special, we can arrange a romantic dinner or intimate festive moment to order, in surroundings that leave everyday life far behind you.
The charm of the hotel depends on its privacy and cosy proximity to snow-laden trees and crystal-clear skies in winter, and fell treks and other outdoor activities in summer and autumn. A very good restaurant is in the main reception block and local tours and activities are arranged with external providers. Clothing for extreme winter conditions – temperatures can drop below minus 30 centigrade in the depths of winter – can also be loaned. Guests are offered hot drinks by a fireplace on arrival, before being driven to their suites from the reception area, which also features an upmarket gift and souvenir shop. Spa treatments can be booked at the secluded lakeside Metsäkyly Arctic Forest Sauna & Spa, a 20-minute drive away, to which transport can be arranged.

Spa
The Metsäkyly spa is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, amid picturesque pines, but staff will drop you off and pick you up for free. Naturally, there’s a sauna, for all the in-the-buff birch-beating fun you desire (don’t worry, almost-never nudes: the saunas are his ‘n’ hers). When you’re sufficiently steamed, enjoy a hot drink – or a ‘sauna sausage’, if you dare – in the open-air Jacuzzi (there’s an edited wine and champagne list, too), book a Swedish massage or acupuncture session, or take a blood-pumping plunge into the lake.
