Situated south of Lingshui County, Nanwan Monkey Island is the only tropical island-type nature reserve for macaques – a state protected animal in China. Due to the wild environment, the variety of plants, fruits and numerous grottos, the island is regarded as the perfect paradise for monkeys.
The 108-metre tall Statue of the Bodhisattva Guan Yin is an amazing national treasure and is currently the third tallest statue in the world.
Composed of five hills covered by rain forests, Luhuitou Park was named from an ancient tale when a hunter chased a hillside deer to the end of the hills. Today, it’s a popular park for astonishing view overlooking downtown Sanya.
Yanoda is originally a phonogram consisting of Ya, No, Da, indicating the numeral words “one, two, three” in Hainan dialect. Tasuro
