ACTIVITIES:
Just after World War I, Baroness Noémie de Rothschild had the vision to establish a new ski resort in the French Alps – inspired by St. Moritz in Switzerland. She fell in love with the panoramic views from the Mont d’Arbois plateau, set above the 13th-century village of Megève. It was here she built the family’s first hotel in 1926.
A stay in Suite Idéal—the highest accommodation in Megève—gives you first access to fresh morning snow, dramatic views of the Mont Blanc and Aravis mountain ranges, and a tailored dinner prepared by a two-Michelin-starred chef.
One day, two countries and a multitude of terrains: your private helicopter ski safari makes it possible.
Magical in winter, Megève’s cobblestone streets feature twinkling fairy lights and horse-drawn carriage rides. This authentic medieval town balances century-old traditions with designer shopping and Michelin-starred dining.
The Hotel partners with Ecole Ski Francais to provide expert instruction for all ages and abilities. Family and private lessons can be arranged upon request.
For a traditional Alpine adventure, our Ski Concierge can equip you with Nordic ski equipment, allowing you to explore more than 30 kilometres (19 miles) of groomed, cross-country trails.
Megève’s winter wonderland offers much more than skiing and snowboarding. Let our Concierge customize your experience with heli-skiing, dog-sledding, glacier snowshoeing, paragliding and hot-air ballooning.
