Le Mas Candille is in the perfect location for access to a variety of nearby Mougins and Cannes golf courses, made al lthe more special with our own Golf Package. Enjoy some of the region’s most beautiful golf courses near Mougins and Cannes. There are ten courses within 30 minutes of Le Mas Candille.
Pablo Picasso lived in Mougins village. He spent the last 15 years of his life in Mougins with his wife in Notre-Dame-de-Vie, which was also his final workshop, overlooking the Bay of Cannes. He invited his most famous friends to Mougins, including pioneering surrealist Jean Cocteau and poet Paul Eluard.
When looking for things to do in Mougins, the Mougins Museum of Classical Art (Musée d’Art Classique de Mougins, MACM) further enriches the village’s wealth of cultural experiences to savour. The museum’s large and diverse collection of antiquities includes Roman, Greek and Egyptian vases, sculptures, coins, jewellery, and also the world’s largest private collection of ancient arms and armour. This museum has been nominated for the European Museum of the Year award, and houses works by Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Damien Hirst.
Mougins has a strong culinary history with such great chefs having managed restaurants in the village. Mougins has been granted the ‘Ville & Métiers d’Art’ label for gastronomy in the very recent past. One of the highlights of Mougins calendar is the International Festival of Gastronomy, which brings together a galaxy of starred chefs from around the globe.
Mougins: The old medieval village, with its art galleries restaurants and museums, is only 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Cannes: The ‘Croisette’, the Cannes Film Festival in May, the sandy beach, the city centre and old town ‘Le Suquet’ are 8km down the road. The Forville market is also worth a visit, and is where our chef sources much of his produce. Nice: The ‘Promenade des Anglais’, the stony beach, the city centre and old town ‘Le Vieux Nice’, Matisse Museum, Chagall Museum and Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC). Antibes: Harbour, sandy beach, old town ‘Le Vieil Antibes’, Picasso Museum. Make sure you ask our staff about the stunning walk around Cap d’Antibes. Grasse: Perfume factories, Fragonard perfume Museum.

In a two hectare Mediterranean park full of hundred-year-old olive trees, on the doorstep of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Le Mas de Pierre overlooks hills and valleys. Provencal, romantic and colonial villas and rooms are hidden behind the red tiles and white stone of the bastides. When you cross the threshold, you will discover lovingly selected antique dressers and pedestal tables. As far as cuisine is concerned, our chef proposes a family cuisine with the flavours of the South, composed of the finest regional specialties. Other delights include a swimming pool, a spa, a sumptuous greenhouse with orchids and a deliciously fragrant garden.
In the bedroom department it would be truer to talk of characters rather than character as the rooms, split across three buildings, reflect different styles. Many might prefer the simplest rooms in Le Mas, the 18th-century farmhouse, which embrace a floral country-chic look. These traditional, panelled rooms are chintzy but restrained and may feature a small terrace framed by jasmine. All-terraced rooms in the newer La Bastide building are bigger and more eclectic, ranging from flouncily feminine to faintly Art Deco. In the all-suites Villa Candille, the look is contemporary, incorporating exposed stone, splashes of colour, parquet floors, picture windows and panoramic terraces. Tucked into hillside below the original farmhouse, the suites also boast an arty roof garden. Expect swish grey marble bathrooms laden with ESPA potions throughout the property.

Le Mas
Le Mas is a beautifully converted 18th century farmhouse, and the original building of Le Mas Candille. It is currently home to nineteen Classic and Traditional rooms, each furnished in a Provençal style. Each room has been individually designed using flair and imagination to produce a perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Some rooms have quaint, traditional features such as stained glass windows and quirky spaces. Staying in Le Mas is an authentic taste of French style and history. Many rooms in Le Mas open onto a terrace with stunning views, inviting you to immerse yourself in the hotel’s grounds or indulge in the picturesque view of Grasse and the pre-Alps.

La Bastide
La Bastide has nineteen rooms, split between Deluxe Double Rooms and Superior Double rooms, and one Suite. Every objet d’art, and every piece of furniture, fabric and painting has a history and has been sought out from all over the world. Each of the rooms has its own unique décor, furnished with works of art and antiques, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities perfectly adapted to contemporary living. La Bastide has a beautifully calm atmosphere, perfectly embodied by the surrounding rockery gardens. Each room has its own balcony on which to catch the warm Riviera breeze overlooking the hotel grounds – perfect for breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. The rooms in La Bastide are of a generous size; particularly the exclusive Suite, which boasts a small lounge with an additional sofa bed, a walk-in dressing room, extra separate guest bathroom and a Jacuzzi bath.

La Villa Candille
There are six suites in La Villa Candille, each a classically-styled creation. A modern construction, flair and imagination combine to produce an interior design of sublime luxury. From the moment you see the beautiful staircase, you’ll know that you’re staying somewhere special. Choose between a Superior or a larger Deluxe Suite for your stay at La Villa Candille. The suites include a spacious lounge with separate dining area, large bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, high tech equipment, artwork, a modern interior with floor-to-ceiling windows and large private terraces. La Villa is a recent extension located just down from the main terrace, beneath the aromatic roof gardens visible overhead. The walk to La Villa is a peaceful rove down the hill, letting you have breathtaking panoramic views of Grasse and the pre-Alps.
