Discover a wide range of dive sites near the islands of Taha`a and Raiatea. You`ll have the opportunity to admire a variety of marine species that thrive in this extraordinary aquatic environment. Explore the lagoon of Taha’a by Jet Ski. You`ll be accompanied by a local guide and stop for a portion of time to snorkel. Price is per person for 2 people sharing a jet ski.
Begin your 2.5-mile hike on the east coast of Raiatea, below Mt. Temehani. You will snake your way between the giant roots of the Tahitian chestnut tree and along a river that leads you to a succession of waterfalls. Giant ferns mark the path before reaching a 60-ft waterfall. From there, travel up a steep path with the help of a rope to a stunning 100-ft waterfall that empties into a natural swimming pool.
Embark on a scenic 11-mile hike to Mount Temehani in the center of Raiatea. Begin in the shade of the Caribbean pine trees and scale rocky inclines. You will stop at the first crest for wonderful panoramic views of the lagoon and the islands of Taha’a, Huahine, Bora Bora and Maupiti in the distance. Continue on a narrow path amongst the local flora and fauna, crossing a few shallow rivers before arriving at the top of Mt. Temehani with breathaking views of the Raiatea coastline, lagoon and bordering islets and the island of Huahine in the distance. Sandwiches will be provided for lunch.
Learn how to sway your hips to the sounds of the Tahitian drums and the ukulele. Your instructor will first show you the different ways to wear a Polynesian pareo, then teach you the basics of this traditional art. You`ll learn the movements that make up the Oritahiti (rapid, rhythmic dance) and of the Aparima (slow, sensual dance).

Discover the Faaroa River, Tahiti’s only navigable river, by kayak with your expert guide leading the way through Raiatea’s verdant interior. Then by car you will visit the ancient marae temple at Taputapuatea, which was recently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the beauty of Raiatea and Taha’a’s lagoon while at the helm of your very own Hobie Cat catamaran. With the assistance of your experienced guide, you will learn the art of using the wind to direct your boat and will visit some of the most beautiful parts of the lagoon, including getting close to the reef.

If you’re lucky, your meal could feature your catch from earlier in the day! After lunch, enjoy an afternoon snorkeling, swimming or relaxing on the beach.
Enjoy a one-hour cruise to the lagoon of Bora Bora (depending on weather and sea conditions) aboard the fully air-conditioned 45-ft O’ Hanalei II. You will have the opportunity to swim with the rays and sharks and snorkel in the Lagoonarium. For lunch you will have an unforgettable picnic set on an idyllic island motu. Return to Taha’a in time for a sunset cruise in the lagoon, with Bora Bora standing majestically in the background.

At the center of Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa is an impressive lobby resembling an outrigger canoe. The building extends two stories and features a wooden staircase leading to the resort’s main bar and two restaurants. The more casual dining option, Le Vanille, provides a fabulous setting with tables arranged on an outdoor terrace beneath the trees. The infinity pool, lunchtime restaurant, poolside bar, tennis courts and spa reside on the other end of the resort, away from the vicinity of the bungalows, for optimum peace and privacy should you choose to remain in your own private oasis during the day.
There are 58 suites and villas, including 45 overwater bungalows. These are categorised by their location and views, which include sunset, mainland Taha’a, and Bora Bora. Villas have private plunge pools and walled gardens, with beach access as well as indoor and outdoor bath and showers. Overwater bungalows have private decks with direct access to the lagoon. All rooms have Polynesian décor featuring decorative tapa – a traditional Polynesian printed cloth made from bark. Room facilities include a Nespresso coffee machine and unlimited bottled water.

Royal Pool Beach Villa
Luxurious 2 bedroom villas with direct access to a pristine beach. Each villa features two king size beds and one daybed, separate living area, private enclosed deck with garden, a private plunge pool, and shaded cabana, full shower and private outdoor bathtub set in a tropical garden.
Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa has three restaurants and two bars. Restaurant Le Plage is located at the pool and open for lunch only. Le Vanille, the main restaurant, is located above the main building with views of the garden and lagoon. Breakfast is extensive and includes French, Polynesian and international dishes, including crêpes, omelettes, fresh Tahitian fruit and a wide selection of cakes and pastries. The dinner offering is a mixture of French and local dishes, including locally caught tuna, marlin and shrimp as well as veal cooked with Taha’a vanilla. On Tuesday evenings a buffet dinner with Polynesian fire dancing and a folklore show replace the usual menu. The third restaurant, Ohiri, offers gourmet French-Polynesian fine dining from Wednesday to Sunday.

La Plage
Located directly on the beach, La Plage is an outdoor restaurant where guests can enjoy a casual lunch with their feet in the sand. Specialties include colorful salads, grilled fish and traditional poisson cru.

Le Vanille
Suspended high up in the trees, Le Vanille boasts incredible views of the resort`s lush gardens. Open for breakfast and dinner, it`s the perfect place to either start the day with a generous buffet or conclude a perfect evening in paradise.

Manuia Bar
The Ohiri Restaurant is the resort`s exclusive, gourmet dining option. The cuisine is a delightful and creative fusion of French and Polynesian flavors, while the atmosphere is incredibly warm and romantic.

Tehutu Bar
Adjacent to Le Vanille restaurant, the Tehutu Bar is the perfect place to enjoy an evening cocktail. The menu features an exhaustive selection of drinks and a variety of delicious tapas.

The Ohiri Restaurant
The Ohiri Restaurant is the resort`s exclusive, gourmet dining option. The cuisine is a delightful and creative fusion of French and Polynesian flavors, while the atmosphere is incredibly warm and romantic.
There is an on-site pearl shop offering both loose and set Tahitian pearls and an activity desk offering excursions to local pearl farms, alongside a variety of other day trips. Facilities include a swimming pool, floodlit tennis court, fitness centre and a scuba diving centre. Guests have free use of snorkelling equipment, stand up paddle boards and kayaks. Transit rooms are available for guests leaving on evening flights, each with a small bed, bathroom and toiletries. The Tāvai Spa offers a variety of treatments using locally made products including Monoi – Polynesian oil infused from coconuts and flowers.

Tavai Spa
Nestled in an exotic garden and surrounded by bamboo trees, the Spa by Le Taha`a offers a variety of massages and body treatments using traditional Polynesian techniques and natural products. It consists of five private treatment rooms overlooking the resort`s interior lagoon. On the menu are massages, facials, body scrubs and body wraps, most of which use the island`s signature monoi oil.
