Amber Fort, the ancient Rajput capital is located on a hill 11km / 7 miles north of Jaipur. Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha Rajputs from 1037 until the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh founded Jaipur in 1727.The majestic fort-palace was constructed in about 1600. The building was added to by successive Rajput rulers, however, the architecture displays many Mughal influences in addition to the traditional Rajput designs. Whilst visiting the palace you will be able to explore the intricate chambers and hallways, the maze of passages and courtyards and witness the wonderful views of the Jal Mahal water palace below.

Fresh herbs, vegetables, and salads come directly from the Rajmahal Palace Organic Kitchen Garden.The beautiful art deco swimming pool has views over the patio and extensive lawn gardens which create an oasis of calm despite being central to the busy Jaipur city.
The Sujan Rajmahal offers 15 rooms and suites consisting of 5 Palace rooms, 3 Palace suites, 3 Royal suites (of which 1 is a family 2 bedroom suite) and 2 Royal apartments (1 has two bedrooms). Rooms feature uniquely designed contemporary wallpaper in blended pastels and complimenting bright motifs, gorgeous bell chandeliers, original mirrored doors and modern comfortable furniture with contrasting patterns. All rooms, suites and apartments include: plasma TV, i-pod docking station, en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower, bathrobes and slippers, 24 hour butler service, pillow menu, hairdryer, internet access, phone, minibar, safe and fruit platter.

Palace Room
The Palace offers 4 Palace Rooms as a part of the inventory. Each room offers en suite bathroom with walk in showers, mini bar and size are between to 450 to 550 Square Feet each. Perfect for a couple.

Palace Suites
4 Beautifully designed Palace Suites are available as a part of the inventory at the Palace. Each suite size is between 700 – 950 Square Feet.

Royal Suite
Our stylish one bedroom suites at Rajmahal provide a sense of luxurious apartment living in the heart of Jaipur, offering guests a great deal of comfort and privacy. A drawing room, double bedroom, dressing room, en suite bathroom, pantry.

Royal Apartment
The apartment comprises of an elegant living area, with a separate bar and drawing room that opens out onto a private terrace, ideal for alfresco dining and entertaining. The Yuvraj Suite is the second suite belonging to The Maharaja’s Apartment. The Maharani Royal Apartment offers guests a vast master bedroom, combined sitting room that leads into dressing room, en suite bathroom, an elegant private dining room, full service kitchen and a grand entrance hall.
The turquoise Polo Bar is full of trophies and photographs of princely triumphs on the field and has an international cocktail, spirit and wine list.The formal dining room shimmers with cut glass and polished silver. The menu includes the rich meat curries beloved of Jaipur royals and European classics such as chicken cordon bleu and braised lamb shank. A similar menu is also served in the glass-walled Colonnade overlooking the gardens and on the lawn itself. Breakfast, served in the zany ’51 shades of pink’ room, comprises a small buffet of cold choices and hot dishes cooked to order. The eggs Benedict is particularly well executed. There’s a choice of specially ground single estate Indian coffees and teas, and fresh juices.

The Orient Occident
This is one of the more formal dining spaces within the palace and is a particular favourite of H.H. the Queen Mother, Rajmata Padmini Devi of Jaipur.

The Colonnade
The Colonnade is the perfect place to meet for a coffee, enjoy a light lunch or catch up with friends over an informal dinner or cocktails. It remains open twenty-four hours for our resident guests. The tall glass doors offer dreamy views of the palace lawns and gardens.

51 Shades of Pink
The inspiration of this dining room was drawn from an Iconic Vogue cover photographed by Norman Parkinson in 1952. The shades of pink have been inspired by the Sharbata courtyard inside the City Palace, Jaipur. This dining room receives stunning natural light in the mornings and is the perfect spot for breakfast and luncheon.

The Polo Bar
Rajmahal’s Polo Bar is the genuine article, when it comes to the Jaipur royal family’s famous trophies and triumphs on the Polo field. Along with a delicious menu to choose from, the bar showcases many of these accolades and celebrates the historic talents of Jaipur’s Polo prowess.

Afternoon Tea
Guests are welcome to enjoy their afternoon tea on the terraces and manicured lawns of Rajmahal Palace, in clement weather. Freshly baked goodies, which include the royal family’s favourites, are on the menu and also a selection of delicious teas, coffees and other beverages.
The original pool, sunk into the gardens, has been restored and spa treatments are available.
