There are no pre-determined programs at Vana; your schedule will be custom-made for you, following your in-depth consultation with one of the doctors, where you will list your goals for your stay – de-stress, detox, weight loss or maybe some natural healing. The doctors will devise a program which will nourish you inside and out. Days are gentle: Yoga or a hike in the morning, followed by your prescribed treatments. Quiet reflection time is an important part of the healing process at Vana. Food is delicious and served to you based on your body type and the objectives of your retreat.
At Vana, the private living spaces bring together various elements of their design philosophy: contemporary aesthetics, bespoke and natural materials, exceptional comfort, thoughtful lighting, design and simplicity. The 69 rooms, 17 suites and 4 villas on the estate peer into the ancient Sal forest or the gardens and orchards, all with balconies or terraces. With a passion for ecology they have used sustainable materials where possible, including bamboo flooring, FSC certified wood and even certified organic linen. The rooms evoke a sense of harmony and wellbeing with a neutral palette of colours and art created by abstract artist Siraj Saxena, allowing guests to rest, reflect and connect with nature.

Gym

Yoga
While the world has embraced Yoga and allowed it to flourish, like with many things of profound nature, it has also been diluted, fragmented and exploited. The eastern traditions of health and wisdom should not be manipulated or followed in half measure. Approaching them with a narrow view or a sense of vanity, is to miss the point entirely. Yoga is awe-inspiring not because it mastered the understanding of the human body. But due to it seeing this knowledge as a means to develop one’s spiritual practice, working towards Yog – the union of body and mind. This wholeness or union is a recurring concept in every major genre of Indian wisdom.
