The hilly area of Uluwatu provides a more relaxed region. Covered with lush green trees, Uluwatu has distinguished itself from the more crowded area of the south, with a string of “hidden” beaches lining its rugged coastline. Dreamland and Bingin Beach, to name just two, are beaches that are enjoyed by surfers pursuing the waves, and casual beach-goers attracted to their clear white sand.A trip to Uluwatu would not be complete without visiting the Uluwatu Temple. Perched atop the edge of an ocean cliff, Uluwatu Temple is a destination sure to grant a magnificent view of the horizon, and is considered one of the most spiritual sites on the island. Adjacent to the area is a forest, home to hundreds of monkeys, which can easily be spotted around the premises. To truly enjoy the temple, plan your visit for late evening and witness the local kecak dance performance at the temple, which is performed at 6:00pm as the sun sets.Uluwatu is 30 minutes away.

Ever conscious of its carbon footprint and promoting a healthier lifestyle where possible, the Resort’s chefs and kitchens source locally-grown fruit, vegetables and produce, some from our very own organic gardens. Freshly-caught seafood and fish are delivered on a daily basis, direct from the local fishermen’s boats, which also supply the neighbouring fish market – a popular signature at our resort restaurants, which raises the bar for Jimbaran Bay seafood dinners.

Taman Gita
Taman Gita is the resort’s main breakfast venue – a cool, air-conditioned, Bali beach restaurant bordered by a breezy alfresco terrace. Contemporary-styled and characterised by a grand entranceway, a high ceiling and monumental pillars, Taman Gita welcomes guests with a pendulous bamboo lighting installation reminiscent of a set of Balinese wind-chimes. Here, cosy two-and-four-seater sofas rest in the entrance bay, coordinated with mood lighting from elegant lamps. Designer tables and chairs are crafted in rich dark wood with marble-topped finishes; banquettes are fitted with Spanish-style lumbar cushions, and alcoves adorned with Balinese artefacts. Outside, solid timber slatted tables spill across a breezy alfresco terrace.
Taman Gita offers an extensive international buffet breakfast, with a vast choice to suit all tastes, including Indonesian, Western, and Asian, hot & cold specialties. The name ‘Taman Gita’ means ‘heavenly garden of music’, and this is depicted in a much-loved storyboard of wall plaques introducing pairs, trios and groups of musicians playing all the instruments of a gamelan orchestra amid the flowers and trees of a divine garden.

Sunset Beach Bar and Grill
One of the finest places in Jimbaran Bay to catch the sunset, Sunset Beach Bar & Grill is a casual style, open-air beachfront bar overlooking the sweeping curve of the Bay. It offers a refreshingly unpretentious, “toes-in-sand” informality, fanned by ocean breezes and with the best front-row seats to unparalleled 180-degree sunset views across Jimbaran Bay. A tropically rustic venue complete with top-notch service, Sunset Beach Bar & Grill provides a variety of open-air seating arrangements: sit-up bar stools at the thatched-roof central bar and serving station, or scattered across the sand bank, a series of beach-facing tables and chairs, bean bags and private cabanas – all shaded by mature trees.
Nestled in a shady grove just meters from the white sand and the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean, the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill sets the scene for a delightful tropical breakfast. Healthy choices range from green mixed juice to vegan tropical smoothie bowl. For the ultimate informal all-day dining experience for lunch, dinner and everything in-between, Sunset Beach Bar & Grill serves freshly-made salads, sandwiches and contemporary seafood bites, Mediterranean favourites and other light snacks, while evening’s highlight succulently fresh seafood selection from the grill. The GelatoCounter is a big hit with families and the best way to keep cool.
An extensive bar menu covers global beer brands, boutique wines, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages and healthy juices, but the signature here is a vast selection of innovative contemporary cocktails and classic cocktails with a modern twist, including a full range of Mojitos, Daiquiris, Martinis and Margaritas, as well as Sunset Pitchers of Sangria or Pimm’s – great for sharing with friends. This aptly-named watering hole comes into its element at the days’ end, but as evening descends, is magically illuminated with tree lanterns and fire torches.

Bella Cucina
Exclusively open for dinner with a select à’la carte menu, Bella Cucina serves classic Italian recipes and regional specialities brought to life with innovative twists and modern presentation. Discerning diners will appreciate the fully-stoked wine cellar with its fine selection of international wines and champagnes. Our seasoned Cellar Master can host special tastings before and after dinner, as well as pairing meal choices with various vintages.
This fully air-conditioned restaurant offers and opulent indoor dining room, where culinary magic is centre stage with a lively open kitchen concept. Designed as a glass conservatory and a haven of sophisticated elegance with chandeliers and gold-plated cutlery, Surya is a private dining room (seating 16). The upper level dining room offers further privacy, making it ideal for corporate, family or wedding groups. Private lunches and receptions can be hosted in both areas. For those wishing to dine al fresco under the stars at an authentic Italian restaurant in Bali, Bella Cucina boasts a charming outdoor terrace, extending to tropical gardens illuminated with fire beacons and lanterns, a truly romantic place to dine.
