Inspired by a sublime blend of art, fashion, architecture, gastronomy and spectacular scenery, the self-drive tour combines lavishness with the ultimate Gran Turismo experience. Travelers begin their three day Tuscan tour with their first overnight stay at Il Salviatino. The next morning, the Red Travel Tour Director and expert Ferrari driver, introduces guests to the world of Ferrari, preparing them for the drive of a lifetime through the rolling Tuscan hills. After the first adrenaline-filled ride, back to the hotel, they will enjoy a 50 minutes’ couple spa treatment at our Spa Il Salviatino. To complete the experience, after the second Ferrari ride, guests will savor a delicious dinner on the terrace of Il Salviatino with breathtaking views over Florence.
Florence is renowned for its local artisans who have been mastering the traditional crafts for countless generations. From gilders, bookbinders, sculptors to leatherworkers and shoe manufacturers, Florence’s lively artisan tradition has successfully transformed into contemporary boutiques while preserving its authenticity. Il Salviatino owes its glamour also to the finest Florentine craftsmanship incorporating artisans’ work into all aspects of the villa. With this unique package, Il Salviatino pays tribute to the local maestri and their art.
A little dirt never hurt. Orto is the Italian word for vegetable garden, and in Tuscany, everyone has a relative or a friend who owns one. Tuscans take great pride in their ortos, and can explain when the moon is just right for planting potatoes as well as the exact moment to pick your cavolo nero (Tuscan kale). Located on a lush Tuscan hill, we’ve grown our own organic orchard, vegetable and herb garden, cared for by our very own Lucio. A young native of Tuscany, Lucio is passionate about the art of local farming and, even more so, sharing his knowledge of it. Our “Tuscan Roots” package invites you to join him in our garden to learn about ancient techniques still in use throughout Tuscany today. If you don’t mind a little dirt on your hands, this experience will submerge you in the world of Tuscan farming, and perhaps inspire you to grow fruits, vegetables and herbs in your own orto.
A hands-on truffle hunting and cooking experience in Il Salviatino’s enchanted backyard forrest can be arranged by the property. Guests will join a certified truffle hunter and his dog to learn the basics of this coveted ingredient before embarking on a hunting experience that explores the secret world of the Tuscan truffle. After the hunt, guests enjoy a truffle tasting meal with the day’s finds. Buon Appetito!

We want our Kitchen to be as tied to its territory and to the seasons as possible. At Il Salviatino, we are quite fortunate to be surrounded by a luxuriant park, so we have decided to devote a portion – actually what was once the historic orchard – to an organic vegetable garden, so that we can offer vegetables, fruit and aromatic herbs that are truly ‘from producer to consumer’!
