QC Terme Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi Bormio Panorama

Founded in 1836, the QC Terme Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi is a majestic thermal spa resort & wellness retreat in the Italian Alps. Its pink Art Nouveau exterior is dotted with red shutters and flower-filled balconies, and the interiors are just as grand, with opulent Venetian-style halls with stucco & frescos. The 74 guestrooms are filled with handmade furniture; Platino Rooms come with panoramic views of the valley or mountains and bathrooms lined with white Carrara marble & hydromassage bathtubs. But the real draw here is the spa. It’s divided into four sections, with open-air baths, natural hot springs, pools and a vaulted basement home to 70 thermal facilities. Traditional Italian dishes are served in the Salone dei Balli, which occupies the hotel’s exquisite ballroom and features polished floorboards, an original fireplace, soaring dome ceilings & Murano glass chandeliers.

Close to the hot springs spa & ski town of Bormio, the boutique hotel is set within the stunning Stelvio National Park, right in the heart of the Central Italian Alps. The area is popular with hikers and cyclists, many of whom come to tackle the Stelvio Pass. When you’re not soaking yourself silly in the town’s thermal springs (even Leonardo da Vinci was a fan), spot wildlife including golden eagles, deer and marmots or visit the nearby Oga Military Fortress. Explore the gorgeous alpine terrain by hiking or biking, or go rock-climbing, ice-climbing & paragliding. The hotel will organize trips to Stelvio National Park, the largest of the historic Italian parks, which is full of streams, lush forests and teems with wildlife. Come winter, a courtesy bus ferries guests to and from the ski lifts. Bormio is located at an altitude of 4,020 feet and has a huge range of slopes for beginners & experts.
