The heart of the hotel is seventh floor French restaurant Motif. Its elegant contemporary design by Andre Fu curves around two sides of the building, showcasing views over Tokyo Station through walls of windows (picture custom-designed furnishings, hanging lamps and Art Deco-inspired hand-crafted bronze screens in warm neutral hues). The menu, masterminded by Michelin-starred culinary advisor Hiroshi Nakamichi, is inspired by the concept “Esprit Terroir”, with seasonal farm-to-table Japanese ingredients, many from his native Hokkaido in northern Japan (a bisque flan, broiled conger eel and lily root with plum and Madeira were recent dinner highlights). The restaurant loosely gives way to the Living Room with its main bar plus the Social Salon, serving seasonal afternoon tea complete with mini wagyu burgers, truffle popcorn and 30 different teas and coffee. Breakfast is a relaxed affair in the main restaurant space, with both Western and Japanese breakfasts served à la carte or buffet style, plus mouth-melting pastries.

Motif Restaurant & Bar
Embark on a gastronomic journey at MOTIF – a restaurant with three, distinct dining areas – where culinary works of art created by Michelin-starred chef Hiroshi Nakamichi and Head Chef Hiroyuki Asano infuse the unique flavours of Hokkaido with farm-to-table French cuisine. Meet friends in MOTIF’s Social Salon for traditional afternoon tea and sample fresh finger foods, a selection of sweets and teas from both Japan and around the world – all alongside panoramic views of the dynamic Tokyo skyline. Look out over Tokyo Station and the glittering lights of downtown as you indulge in innovative French cuisine during an intimate meal at MOTIF’s semi-private dining space, with seating for up to 10. Add our sake-pairing option to your meal at MOTIF and let the fresh and fruity aroma of Japanese sake take your dining experience to a different level.

In Room Dining
Ideal for time-zone–hopping travellers, impromptu meetings or quiet nights in, our in-room menu features everything from American and classic European cuisine to the Zen-like charm of a Japanese breakfast, making dining in your room a special occasion at any time of the day.
The service is as warm as the space. As is often the case in top Japanese hotels, the service is bend-over-backwards helpful. Centre stage is Motif Restaurant & Bar and adjoining lounge area. There is also a two-room spa, with indulgent treatments ranging from 24-karat gold facials to seasonal massages. There may not be a swimming pool, but visitors should not miss the small stone hot spring onsen bath in the spa (perfect for a meditative Japanese-style soak). There is also a small boutique, selling crafts from across Japan, plus a 24-hour fitness centre.

Spa
Take some time for yourself at our serene Spa as you sink into deep relaxation during one of our signature massages or rituals, followed by a traditional onsen – or hot spring – bath. Both of our separate men’s and women’s changing areas feature wet-spa facilities, meaning you can indulge in a steam sauna, jet showers and a traditional onsen (hot spring) bath before or after your spa session.

Fitness Centre
Day or night, the floor-to-ceiling views of downtown Tokyo can fuel any workout session in our 24-hour Fitness Centre.
