- Located in the resort in the northern Thaa Atoll, Como Maalifushi is seductively low-key, attracting famous fashion designers and Hollywood celebrities with its minimalist styling, knowing service and superstar-worthy food and facilities.
- Como Maalifushi is currently the only resort to inhabit the tranquil Thaa Atoll, reached via a spectacular 60-minute seaplane flight from Malé. The lone island is almost entirely surrounded by some of the world’s best coral reefs, making for spectacular diving & snorkeling.
- Dotted around the island are 65 villas, ranging from beach suites fronted by perfect-white sands, to sweeping over-water beauties, with rambling sundecks, full-length windows, infinity pools and waterside cabanas looking over dreamy views. Bathrooms are huge, with enormous Japanese-style soaking tubs, indoor and outdoor showers and premium Como Shambala toiletries.
- Start your day by cycling to the spa for some sunrise yoga with an Indian guru. Later, you can go snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, deep sea fishing on the hotel’s yacht and end the evening with a sunset dolphin cruise or a soul-stirring night swim with whale sharks.
- The Como Shambala Spa is a destination in its own right and now offers wellness programmes, such as the Como Active Anti-ageing retreat which blends meditation with pranayama breathing, low-impact exercise, languorous Thai massages, time-reversing facials and nourishing spa cuisine.
- The gorgeous 44m free form infinity pool has been designed to weave around ‘islands’ of palm trees.
