Deep sea fishing is a year-round activity off the coast of Mauritius, although the peak season for marlin runs from October to April. The collection of tropical plants in the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens is situated in northern Mauritius. A perfect way to spend the afternoon, wander through stunning exotic scenery, and witness the beautiful giant water lilies. The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens are located near the village of Pamplemousses, 10km north of Port Louis. They contain a superb collection of tropical plants, from a variety of Asian, African and American continents. A real treasure of Mauritius, the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Gardens are the oldest in the Southern Hemisphere. The gardens were first constructed by Pierre Poivre in 1770. During the development of the sugar cane industry, the botanical gardens were used as a site of introduction to new sugar cane species. Famous for its Victoria Regia giant water lilies, these gardens are a shady haven to spend an afternoon getting lost beyond the tropical plants. Brilliant for families, and with over 37 hectares of land, it is unlike any other crowded tourist destination.

Set on the edge of the white sandy beach in its own secluded corner the villa features private landscaped gardens and a sizeable private pool surrounded by a large and well furnished terrace, alongside an outdoor bathroom. The interior has a airy and spacious feel with tasteful decor and high ceilings.
