The hotel opened in 2005, and offers understated luxury in a modern style behind its 19th century facade. The Bellevue Brasserie at the top of the hotel gives a 360-degree view of the city that spans Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, St Isaac’s Cathedral, the Chapel and the Church on Spilled Blood, and offers an elegant mix of French and Russian cuisine; Kamchatka crab is a signature dish. The Wine Cellar 1853 has an impressive wine list, but the Tea Room is cosier thanks to the open log fireplace, antique furnishings, and views to Palace Square and the Hermitage. Tea services can be Russian-style, with pancakes and caviar, or English-style with cucumber sandwiches, scones and homemade pralines.
The Von Witte bar at the front of the hotel has a gentlemen’s club feel, and also comes with an open log fireplace, leather armchairs, a library, and a view over the Moika. Breakfast, served in the Beau Rivage Restaurant, is decent enough. It is an international affair that runs to Russian curd fritters and pancakes with caviar and sour cream, eggs Benedict, Asian-style chicken broth and classic British porridge; there’s also caviar and Louis Roederer champagne, a fine collection of cheeses, fresh fruits, homemade Danish pastries and croissants.

The panoramic Bellevue restaurant, located on the ninth floor of the hotel, re-opened its doors on June 3, 2019. The new interiors of the iconic panoramic restaurant on the 22 Moika Embankment preserve key advantages: a stunning and unique view of Palace Square and the majestic Hermitage, 120 seats, three open terraces with a view of 360 degrees to the heart of St. Petersburg, the best classic wine list and the exquisite menu created by the new Executive Chef of the hotel, Jean-Philippe Dupas.

Von Witte Bar
The popular meeting place where a handshake seals the deal and cements a friendship. When you walk into the Von Witte bar you can feel the discreet cozy atmosphere of a gentlemen’s club, like something straight out of old Russia. Situated in one of our mansion rooms, there is an open log fireplace, leather armchairs, a library, and a first-class view over the Moika River. The Von Witte is situated right at the very front of the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22, and is one of the most popular St Petersburg bars.
The Beau Rivage is used as the breakfast room, providing a variety of international offerings from homemade jam to Italian Parma ham, French Champagne and of course caviar.
The Spa and Fitness Centre’s gym is surprisingly small, but is supplemented by a whirlpool bath with great city views, a sauna and steam room, and treatment rooms offering massages and more.
