Like the monumental ruins of an ancient central African civilisation, Tsala’s impressive stone-masonry entrance flanked by water features leads to a magnificent foyer supported by Blackwood columns. The elaborate afro-baroque décor’s earthy colours, rich textures and handcrafted fittings are inspired by the diverse cultures of Africa, with the sophistication of the Western World. The views are breathtaking, whether from the exotic dining room, intimate glassed-in lounge, or large open decks high above the forest floor. Tsala is a magical place, encircled by lush forests extending across rolling valleys, towards the distant hills.
The 10 suites are secluded and cosseting, with private decks looking out over the treetops and infinity plunge pools. Glass walls provide surround-scene forest views and bathrooms have deep, free-standing stone tubs, twin sinks and al fresco showers. In addition, the two-bedroom Villas have kitchenettes, dining rooms, fully stocked minibars, satellite TV, private pools and a decked outdoor dining area. This back-to-nature wilderness is just 10km from the beaches, bars and boutiques of Plettenberg Bay.
Tsala Treetop Lodge offers ten suites. Each one affords lovely views of the surrounding forest and features a sitting room, bedroom, spacious bathroom, observation deck and pool deck, all elevated into the forest canopy on pole supports. A stay in one of these suites really is a memorable experience. Six Treetop Villas have recently been added. The villas offer a great option for families as are made up of two bedrooms, linked by a large sitting and dining area. Each also enjoys large private decks and infinity pools with views out over the forest canopy.
10 luxury treetop suites are tucked into the forest canopy. All are accessed by a raised wooden walkway in the canopy of the trees running down the side of the hill.

Extremely spacious and completely secluded, they consist of a living room with balcony, an attractive bedroom, and a large bathroom featuring a huge oval stone bath. They each have their own infinity plunge pool on a deck outside.
