ACTIVITIES:
We offer Kayaking at Lake Grey and Glacier Grey in Torres del Paine National Park, as well as in the Perito Moreno Glacier. This excursion is offered for anyone who wants to see icebergs from up-close and also do some exercise while paddling the waters of Patagonia.
National Geographic awarded this region one of the top spots in its ranking of the best hiking destinations on the planet. We offer amazing opportunities to walk and hike among gnarled beech forests and open plains to glaciers, roaring waterfalls, glacier-carved valleys and towering granite giants that glow as if on fire with the light of dawn and dusk. This really is the best activity to see the wonders of Patagonia and take in views of some of the most dramatic landscapes on earth.
We offer horseback riding on beautiful and tame horses that know the trails and turns like the back of their hoofs. Horseback riding in Patagonia allows you to experience the region a bit differently than on walks & hikes, covering more terrain in a shorter period of time, and doing it as the real gauchos (local cowboys) do it. You will be treated to spectacular views of the valleys and lakes while horseback riding both in Chile and Argentina.
For those looking for a more active option on the day you visit Glaciery Grey or the Perito Moreno Glacier, you have the option of embarking on a catamaran to cross the lake and setting off for about a 3 hour ice trek along the glacier.
Our Jeep excursions are, by far, the best way to see most of the highlights of the Parks in the shortest amount of time. Our Full Day Park Reconnaissance Jeep® tour in Torres del Paine is the best way to get to experience all aspects of the National Park, by touring its more famous highlights. These tours include the opportunity to enjoy leisurely walks while taking in the full spectrum of the park’s flora and fauna, in company with various breathtaking views of the mountains, surrounding lakes and countryside. Our Jeep® Tours are an activity for those seeking the ultimate view where there is never a dull moment.
Those with a keen interest in photography will find our adventures the perfect option for those spectacular shots. Because you are in your own Jeep, you can depart as early as you want from your hotel and come back as late as you want as well, thereby allowing you to take advantage of those amazing colors of the light at dawn and dusk..
For bird lovers, your Patagonia Safari offers the opportunity of seeing water birds, land birds and birds of prey throughout the region. Some of these birds appear to be taken right out of a fiction book.
The Serrano River in Chile is home to countless rainbows and browns, as well as the mighty Chinook salmon between the months of December and February. We will scout the river and choose our fishing spot based on the weather and water conditions that day.
Patagonia’s skies are starry and bright. Enjoy star-gazing experiences during several nights of your adventure, led by our experienced naturalists guides.
In Torres del Paine you have the option of navigating around Grey Lake to view Glacier Grey from up-close. In Argentina you can do the same at Argentino Lake, to witness the mighty Perito Moreno Glacier from up close. You will have the opportunity to witness glaciers calving into the lake and see in detail the electric blue hues of their gigantic walls.
One of the most impressive, yet elusive and hard to spot animals in Patagonia is the Puma. This is the world’s largest mountain lion and the largest native mammal in the region. Those who have the opportunity to witness this large cat in the wild are treated to an experience that rivals any Big-Cat Safari around the world. The months of May – August are the best times of the year to see Pumas. The Parks are uncrowded, and the main prey of the Puma (the Guanaco) concentrates in a specific part of the Park, thereby concentrating the Puma population as well in this are. Our Puma-tracking safaris are designed to put you face to face with this magnificent cat.

Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares National Parks have a combined area of over 3,700 square miles. Considering that there are over ten must-see locations in this remote area, travelling by Jeep is the best, most comfortable and most comprehensive way of exploring this natural wonder. Our safaris allow you to explore the Parks while staying at the best and most unique places in the region. From mongolian-style tented yurts, to restored cold-storage plants turned into luxury retreats, the properties that await you in Patagonia are out of this world. Our Patagonia Safari Itineraries were designed to show you the very best of both Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia, based on your travel style and available time. They range from an Express option that shows you the best of both sides, to an extended option that takes you deep into the heart of Southern Patagonia.
Our safaris include a unique mix of 5 or 4 Star hotels, depending on whether you select the Gold or Silver version. You can also choose between a Self-Guided or a Guided Safari. On both programs you have access to a full menu of excursions to choose from throughout both National Parks. We begin at the Fjord of Last Hope in Chile, before venturing into the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. Then it’s on to experience the far reaches of Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina and the famous Perito Moreno Glacier for the ultimate Patagonia experience. On a Guided Puma Tracking tour, your guide is there to treat you to an amazing puma-tracking experience and to make sure every moment of your adventure is fun, safe and memorable. The properties where you will stay in Southern Patagonia are some of the best in all of South America. Our safaris allow you to explore the Parks while staying at the best and most unique places in the region. Los Cerros Boutique Hotel & Spa by DON - Argentina
El Chaltén is the premier frontier town in Argentinian Patagonia. In this otherworldly setting, Don Los Cerros Boutique Hotel & Spa soars high above the village, and is framed by the magnificent cliffs and spires of Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. Elegant and elevated in position, Don Los Cerros is considered an El Chaltén classic. The hotel has 44 rooms, designed in a style that might be called log-cabin chic: they’re all large and comfortably outfitted with wood paneling, woven blankets, and deep soaking tubs. Superior rooms have huge picture windows, revealing memorable panoramic views over the valley — in some cases, the landscape is clearly visible from the vantage point of the in-room Jacuzzi.
But this is a mountain lodge. The true charm of Don Los Cerros lies in the hotel’s public spaces, like the open-plan living room with its cozy sofas, locally produced crafts, and vaulting ceilings made of rustic wood beams. Traditional Patagonian dishes — smoked wild boar, anyone? — are on offer in the hotel’s restaurant. The best tables are poised next to the windows, overlooking the village below and the mountains beyond. It’s the perfect place to plan the next day’s adventure to a nearby glacier over a glass of Malbec, or to breakfast like a king at the hotel’s lavish Patagonian-style breakfast buffet.

The Singular Patagonia - Chile
The Singular is an architectural landmark and one of Chile’s most impressive hotels. Located just outside the town of Puerto Natales in Southern Chile, The Singular Patagonia was created from a converted cold storage plant dating from the early 20th century, and was designated a National Monument in 1996. The buildings have been beautifully re-purposed, retaining key structures, and incorporating a museum into the lobby to display original artifacts and equipment. Overlooking the Fjord of Last Hope Sound with the Andes Mountains in the distance, the oversized guestrooms provide ample room to unwind after a day of adventure.
Most importantly, the region’s beauty can be appreciated through floor-to-ceiling, six-meter-wide picture windows, reminding guests that Mother Nature makes the best artwork. Menus in the two award-winning restaurants spotlight locally grown products, further immersing visitors in the destination. Rounding out the experience are a host of guided excursions with local experts, and a spa with expansive windows overlooking the Fjord, the snow-capped mountains and the rugged Patagonian landscape.

Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa - Chile
The award-winning architecture of the Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa blends perfectly with the breathtaking surrounds of the Torres del Paine National Park, which was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978. Here, with sensational views of the park and the hotel’s nearby Lake Sarmiento, guests can retreat to spacious rooms, beautifully appointed with hand-crafted furniture, locally sourced textiles and uniquely Patagonian details. Each of the rooms feature a king-sized bed or two twin beds, according to your preference, and has a luxurious bathtub nestled in the bedroom. The ensuite bathroom also features a separate shower.
The hotel’s guest areas include an inviting fireplace, cosy sitting room, a convivial bar area, a well-stocked library, TV room and a charming dining room.
