Commissioned by the King of Spain to play host to international dignitaries during the 1929 Exhibition, Hotel Alfonso XIII remains an iconic cultural landmark, centrally located in the historic quarter of Santa Cruz, next to Reales Alcázares and Seville Cathedral. Following a significant renovation, completed in 2012, the hotel’s distinguished architecture and Moorish detailing have been enriched, showcasing native Andalusian design and heritage to a new generation of traveler. The hotel’s innovative décor, from the lobby to the inner courtyard, continues to reflect Sevillian style. This ambience also pervades our outdoor swimming pool and gardens, which entice guests to relax and refresh under the warm Andalusian sun.
Throughout its history, Hotel Alfonso XIII has been a magnet for celebrities, kings and queens; today, every guest in the 151 rooms and suites gets the royal treatment from the polite and friendly staff here. The two restaurants, the San Fernando for fine dining and Ena, which offers tapas and other light fare, are complemented by the famed Bar Americano, where Hemingway often drank. All rooms feel distinctively Spanish, with grand décor and varying from reasonably sized doubles to suitably palatial suites. Facilities vary – the biggest televisions are an impressive 55 inches, and can connect wirelessly with your devices by Bluetooth, while others are 42 inches. A few rooms also have USB sockets for charging devices. Suites have Krupps coffee machines. Wardrobes come with coloured upholstered trunk-like drawers, and feel very plush. Arabic rooms have beautiful Moorish stucco arches, Moroccan lamps, and inlaid mirrors. Furniture is a mix of new and restored pieces, such as Castillian dark wood and mustard-yellow velvet chairs.

Deluxe Double Rooms
Deluxe Double Rooms overlook Seville’s stunning panorama, with views of the hotel’s lush gardens and the former Royal Tobacco Factory. Available in a variety of configurations, these welcoming rooms are infused with the essence of this emblematic region and feature gracious Andalusian décor beneath crystal chandeliers with gold accents.
Contemporary abstract artwork inspired by horses graces the walls. On either one king-size or two double Luxury Collection beds, headboards are upholstered with grey leather and adorned with decorative metal studding reminiscent of equestrian saddles.

Deluxe Suite
Ornamental Castillian décor typifies our 46 to 54-square-metre Deluxe Suites, as rich silk and linen pastel textiles wrap the walls and bohemian crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling.
Each suite overlooks the gardens or the city and benefits from separate sleeping and living areas. The high-ceilinged lounge area offers a place to relax, with comfortable seating and writing desk. Guests who appreciate space and privacy will adore our Deluxe Suites. All windows are double-paned to ensure a peaceful stay and a cutting edge 55” OLED TV with Chromecast adds an extra sophistication.

Gentle sophistication describes this one of a kind suite.The palatial Victoria Eugenia Suite boasts a step-out balcony for admiring the Puerta de Jerez Square and the Cristina Gardens. Soft pallets of greens and blues, as preferred by the queen Victoria Eugenia; spouse of king Alfonso XIII, combine with the sober and classic decoration of the bureau separate living space that contains a unique library. The suite features some unique pieces of decoration such as the King´s original desk and the Queen´s traditional wicker lounger as well as a portrait of herself.

Daylight streams in to illuminate interiors decorated in Castilian or Andalusian style.Below Bohemian crystal chandeliers and atop marble floors, modern and restored traditional furniture blend harmoniously to create a unique sitting area in each suite’s living room.In the separate bedroom with oversized windows, a king-size Luxury Collection bed is accompanied by a work area. Clad in local Sevillian ceramic tiles, the spacious bathroom offers a combined rainforest shower and bathtub, as well as Acqua di Parma bath amenities.

Reales Alcázares Suite
Boasting unforgettable views of the Reales Alcázares gardens, La Giralda, and the Seville Cathedral, this contemporary style one-bedroom suite is an extraordinary space. The living room comprises such exceptional furniture as a marble-topped credenza, an oversized sofa upholstered in white linen, and armchairs featuring decorative side panels in contrasting fabric. A three-tiered, drop-crystal ceiling lamp juxtaposes styles from the 1920s. Spectacular black-and-white equestrian photography adorns the walls.Inspired by the 14th-century romance of King Pedro I and Maria de Padilla, the suite’s distinctive décor of charcoal walls and white furnishings carries over from the living room into the bedroom. The king-size Luxury Collection bed is dressed 200-thread-count linens, a plush duvet, and a selection of down pillows.

Executive Suites
Our spacious 88 to 120-square-metre Executive Suites are composed of a bedroom and living room—both with independent entrances—and can even be connected to an adjacent Grand Deluxe room, opening up the option of co-habitation.Each room is floored in smooth marble and accessorized with bohemian crystal chandeliers and renovated antique furniture. In the sitting room there is a sofa, two armchairs, and a table with chairs.In addition to the king-size Luxury Collection bed, the bedroom has a desk and table with chairs. Double-paned windows wash the rooms in natural light while at the same time assuring ultimate serenity.

Alfonso XIII Suite
The first step in to this luxurious 150-square-meter suite is a breathtaking experience, in which the ultramarine blue silk dressed entry gives way to the large opulent living room.A soothing palette of brown, creams and white is punctuated with splashes of crimson. Marble columns supporting stucco archways lead into the dining room, which boasts seating for eight guests around a magnificent antique dining table. The ‘pièce de résistance’ is a unique, hand-crafted cabinet decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay. Seville and its historic monuments beckon through the tall, French doors dressed with crisp, white drapes.In the master bedroom beige, silk wall coverings bring a sense of glamour. At the room’s centre is the sublimely comfortable four-poster version of the Luxury Collection bed. Finely embroidered linen drapes hang elegantly on all sides. A wonderful night’s sleep is assured with the 200-thread-count sheets, cloud soft duvets and selection of down pillows.
Visit Ena on the delightful terrace above the hotel garden to sample Catalan chef Carles Abellan’s take on classics such as huevos rotos (a Spanish fried egg dish) and salmorejo (a typical Andalucian cold tomato soup). For more formal dining, San Fernando offers foie gras mi-cuit with spiced bread and Seville orange compote, or Iberian pork cheek in oloroso (dark sherry). In summer, poolside Taifas serves light meals and snacks; inside, the Art Deco American Bar has cocktails and live piano music. A buffet breakfast is served around the pretty Andalucian patio, offering everything from made-to-order omelettes to fresh juice shots, carrot cake and bircher muesli.

Ena by Carles Abellan
The renowned chef Carles Abellan flawlessly blends Catalonian and Andalusian gastronomic styles at this exquisite terrace restaurant. Guests are invited to share tapas and small plates, accompanied by aperitifs, cocktails and a long list of wines. Ena’s ingenious, lighthearted menu features some of Abellan’s classics, including the Bomb of the Barceloneta and Jobless Wings, as well as innovative new dishes.

Bar Americano
Seville’s business, politics, and culture converge at the Bar Americnao, the lively heart of our hotel. Matching the wood-carved ceiling, the long bar counter serves as the room’s gathering point. Meanwhile, table seating provides a venue for more private and intimate conversations.Our comprehensive drink menu includes an intriguing wine list and a selection of sherries that pay tribute to the region. Premium liquors, cognacs, and whiskeys are available.Guests can also enjoy the culinary artistry of our tapas and snacks, as well as an indigenous afternoon tea that attracts local clientele.

San Fernando Restaurant
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Restaurante San Fernando is situated in the hotel’s gallery and central courtyard where it utilizes, to magical effect, the unique luminosity of Seville’s sky. In summer, the charm of the Mudejar Patio’s Moorish arches and Arab-style architecture combine with a murmuring ivory fountain to provide a serene, romantic background for a memorable meal. Low lighting in the courtyard reflects the warm tones of the hotel’s outer walls while ornate wrought-iron chairs lend a distinctive Andalusian touch. As stated in the Michelin Guide, this is indeed an exclusive setting to enjoy haute cuisine.

Pool Restaurant
Located between the garden´s lush vegetation and with views to the swimming pool, this restaurant offers a selection of exquisite light snacks. The shade of the palm-trees makes it easier to choose from the menu´s dishes, the fresh salads being one of our guest´s favorite options together with the prawn ceviche and the Alfonso XIII´s burger.
The long list of cocktails is also truly tantalizing and even more so when it comes to sipping them from our comfortable loungers.
The gym is well equipped with various machines, plus a sauna; in summer, the swimming pool offers a welcome respite from the heat. Wi-Fi comes in two classes: free (fine for reading emails and limited images), or chargeable (for streaming video), which is highly unusual in Seville hotels.

Each machine has an individual digital screen with headphone sockets for guests to access entertainment content whilst training.
