The authentic Swiss alpine hut was built in 1783 and has only been slightly renovated since then. As a result it has preserved its simplicity. We offer you an exclusive lunch or dinner for 4 to 14 people at the Walig Hut. You can even stay overnight there (maximum two adults and two children). We serve a 3-course menu with starter, simple main course and dessert for lunch and dinner. We also serve Swiss wine, mineral water and coffee with this.

From pulse training on cardio equipment to muscle training on the multi power rack to classic dumbbell training – you can toughen up your body and improve your fitness here. Do you like playing tennis? In the summer we offer exclusive tennis camps. Tennis players from 16 years and up get the chance to train with one of the most successful tennis players in history at the Roy Emerson Tennis Weeks. During the summer season we open our four tennis courts right outside our hotel. Play a match and enjoy the breathtaking view over Gstaad and the surrounding mountains. You can even play tennis in bad weather at the three indoor courts found close by to our hotel. Or you can opt for squash and train on the hotel’s own squash court.

Families are very welcome here. Which is why we offer your children an exciting, different programme every year at our hotel. We are particularly proud of this as we also want to make young guests perfectly happy in Gstaad. The kids’ programme is aimed at 5 to 12 year olds; 3 to 5 year olds can take part if accompanied by a responsible person. Our lovely dedicated childminders are there for young hotel guests but also for children from outside too. The programme that changes every week ensures plenty of fun and games.
