An almost museum-like paradise for Sommeliers and wine lovers. Six wine cellars brimming with international treasures, with four centuries of wine history. Stored in cellars of glass, wood and stone, the wine bottles are arranged according to their origin. 32,000 bottles, 4,000 types of wine and a purchase value of more than 26 million CHF are just some of the wine facts and figures at the Park Hotel Vitznau. The French wines feel right at home stored on stone shelves behind Bathalzar and Salmanazar bottles with wines from Bordeaux and Burgundy. Further behind in the same cellar is the blue shipping container in which wines from the New World are stored. Opposite are bottles from Italy, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Austria and Switzerland – Old World wines – maturing in wooden pentagonal wine racks. Dating from 1811, the oldest wine is stored in a golden casket, and is from the cellars of the Château d’Yquem, as are the three vintage dessert wines of the same name.

The wine cellar’s basement houses sparkling wines from throughout Europe, matured in curved wine racks designed in the style of original Champagne rémuage racks. Tucked away behind the champagne bar lie the noblest rarities in their wooden boxes. Well-guarded and cared for, they lie waiting to be chosen. Immerse yourself in the world of wine culture with a private wine tasting, a tour with a sommelier through the six wine cellars or round off your visit in our champagne cellar.

Whether snow or blue sky and sunshine, whatever the weather take the plunge and swim in our 21 m long and 9 m wide heated infinity outdoor pool, rest a while on the outdoor jacuzzi beds, or relax in our indoor whirlpool. The feeling of space in the spa area is emphasised by the 12 meter long saltwater aquarium stretching from floor to ceiling and with over 30 different types of fish.
