The Widder Restaurant & Bar forms the heart of the Widder Hotel in Zurich. It unites the city’s rich history with a modern flair, reflected in its unmistakable design and cuisine. Stefan Heilemann is known for his unique style of cooking: The combination of highest product quality, excellent cooking craftsmanship, a willingness to experiment and his characteristic hint of “acidity” open up new worlds of taste and turn a meal into an unforgettable gourmet adventure.

Boucherie, brasserie, bistro – AuGust embodies them all. The menu here showcases the finest meat and sausages. In an atmosphere of rustic chic, chef Tino Staub prepares regional classics and makes even long-neglected parts of the animal thoroughly respectable. Where else nowadays in Zurich could you try boiled beef salad, tripe and brawn? This is a place where a taste for adventure is well rewarded. For everyone else, there are classics such as Leberkaese, home-made pâtés, terrines and pies. Delicacies from other countries, such as prosciutto culatello con cotenna from Italy’s Parma region, and on-trend novelties such as beef jerky with Swiss Alpine herbs complete the menu.

Sometimes the best things in life are also the simplest. A casual dinner with friends, comfort food that gives you a warm glow, a good wine to accompany lively conversation. These are the attractions of our simple tavern ‘Wirtschaft Zur Schtund’. Here the menu emphasises classic Swiss specialities at attractive prices: raclette and rösti, flammkuchen and fondue, draught beer and wine by the glass. All we’re waiting for is you! Widder Garden is the idyllic garden paradise with restaurant and summer lounge in the cozy courtyard of the hotel. Chef de cuisine Tino Staub serves summer dishes in the open air at noon and in the evening in the modern ambience: healthy salad bowls, fresh fish and BBQ specialties from the grill. For the cappuccino break after a shopping spree, after work drink or a sundowner, the Summer Lounge is the best meeting place – quiet, cool and shielded from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hidden in Augustinerhof 1, lies the off location of the Widder Hotel – where the cars of the hotel guests once parked, people now dance and drink from Thursday to Saturday until late into the night. Host Mark Müller ensures with lobster popcorn, truffle toast, DimSum and oysters enjoyable afterwork hours and delicious midnight snacks.
