ACTIVITIES:
Set on a private concession on the northern border of the Serengeti National Park, andBeyond Klein’s Camp offers the opportunity to experience night drives and go off-roading in search of intimate wildlife encounters in open safari vehicles with a canvas canopy. Because they are conducted in a private concession, game drives do not encounter vehicles other than those from Klein’s, allowing the rare luxury of relatively private animal sightings while benefitting from the wildlife riches of the neighbouring Serengeti. The camp overlooks a popular route used by the herds of the Great Migration when moving between north and south so that, twice a year, the valley below are filled with a jostling throng of zebra and wildebeest. However, this wildlife-rich are delights at any time of year and the Klein’s concession is famous for its enormous prides of lion, as well as some of the best leopard viewing in Tanzania.
Immerse yourself in Maasai culture with a three-hour trip to the community living near Klein’s Camp. Guests will visit an authentic Maasai village, where they will be invited into a Maasai home for a glimpse into their daily life. The traditions and ways of the Maasai have remained largely unchanged for centuries.
With a dedicated game ranger and tracker, as well as a private game drive vehicle, guests have the luxury of tailor-making their own safari experience; choosing their own game drive times and spending as much time as they want at sightings.

Perched on the edge of the Kuka Hills, andBeyond Klein’s Camp features intimate safari accommodation – just ten cottages of local stone and makuti, with rich wooden floors and classic interiors. A diversity of resident wildlife, including huge elephant herds, can be viewed from everywhere in camp – even the kitchen boasts unforgettable views. The camp has a large, beautifully furnished bar and sitting area, a sparkling swimming pool, and a Safari Shop featuring locally-made Maasai crafts. Fresh vegetables picked from the Camp’s shamba (an organic African garden) create wholesome Pan African dishes. Dinners are served in the main dining area, which is graced by a large open fireplace, or enjoyed in a spectacular clearing deep in the heart of the African bush.

Majestically situated on the edge of the Kuka Hills, &Beyond Klein’s Camp consists of just ten intimate cottages made of local stone and makuti thatch, with rich wooden floors and classic interiors. Family Cottage
andBeyond Klein’s Camp is a fantastic destination for group and family travel. It boasts two spacious cottages that make up a family suite. The cottages are connected by a protected walkway, which allows easy access between the cottages while maintaining complete privacy. The family cottage can accommodate up to two adults and two children (three children can be accommodated on special request). Each cottage has an ensuite bathroom and private veranda with breathtaking views over the surrounding hills and the valley below..
Dinners are served in the main dining area, which is graced by a large open fireplace, or enjoyed in a spectacular clearing deep in the heart of the African bush. Fresh vegetables picked from the camp’s shamba, or organic African garden, are used to create wholesome dishes. The freshly picked vegetables from the organic African garden make for delicious and healthy meals during the safari stay in Tanzania. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the camp’s shamba (vegetable garden), where lettuce, spinach, peppers, cucumbers, avocadoes, lemons, and a selection of herbs all grow. You can literally ‘pick’ your own salad and the chef will prepare you the most mouth-wateringly fresh lunch. Dinners are enjoyed in the central dining area, where a large open fireplace makes for a magical safari setting.
Boasting one of the finest views in Africa, even the swimming pool at Klein’s Camp overlooks smoky views of distant hills. The camp also features a beautifully furnished bar and sitting area and a Safari Shop that features locally-made Maasai crafts.
