ACTIVITIES:
Explore the vast grasslands of the Serengeti with your safari guide on game drives in the early morning and late afternoon. This is one of the most famous national parks in Africa, and it’s easy to see why. With big cats aplenty, giraffes towering above the plains, hippos wallowing in muddy pools and buffalo snorting and chomping on the grasslands, there’s never a dull moment in the Serengeti.
One of Africa’s most iconic moments – the migration of two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles around the Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem. Searching for the herds requires a good dose of luck, patience and staying in the right location. The herds move every month or two, driven by instinct and the search for fresh grazing.
Discover the Serengeti on foot: our experienced guides lead walking safaris in the bush to add an extra thrill to your African adventure.
For those keen to get in some early game viewing or maximise their time watching game, our camp chef can prepare a delicious packed breakfast or lunch.
Few experiences compare with gliding serenely over the vast plains of the Serengeti as the wildlife teems below, on a romantic and iconic balloon safari. This is available seasonally and is weather dependant. (At an additional cost).

Resting against a hillside with panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and Mara River in the distance, Sayari Camp effortlessly combines luxurious living and the wonder of the African landscape at its most natural. A year-round destination, guests can watch in awe as dramatic scenes unfold when wildebeest cross the Mara, or enjoy the park at more quiet times when the area’s permanent wildlife crawl out of the woodwork. The wildebeest, zebra and various gazelle that pass through the area annually brave various perils such as lions on land and Nile crocodiles in the water.
A stone’s throw from the Maasai Mara and in close proximity to Lamai Wedge where wildebeest gather at the start of the migration, Sayari Camp promises superb game-viewing opportunities. The camp’s 15 Tented Suites are furnished with a king size bed and an elegant en-suite bathroom complete with a shower and oval bathtub. Guests can embrace their surroundings from the comfort of their private verandah or venture to the main camp’s lounge, dining room and rim-flow pool overlooking game-dotted savannah.
The camp is split into two wings. Each wing has its own dining, bar and lounge tent. One wing comprises nine tents, the other six tents. The tents are spacious and are equipped with either a king size bed or twin beds, a huge bath tub, shower, double sinks and hot and cold running water. Each tent has its own veranda where you can observe the animals grazing around you.

Guest Tent
The remote and starkly beautiful landscape of the Northern Serengeti inspired the design of Sayari’s 15 tented suits, which are a subtle mirror of the iconic flat-topped volcanic Turner Hill to the north. Inside, the rich mahogany floors and delicate tones of sand, stone, and acacia reflect the hues and textures of the natural terrain. Each spacious suite has a king-sized bed (twin beds available) with fine linens and safari-chic decor to offset the wilderness just beyond the canvas walls. The en-suite bathrooms with walk-in shower and egg-shaped bathtub overlook the Northern Serengeti plains, as do the beautiful private verandas outside.

Honeymoon Tent
Sayari Camp has a honeymoon tent which offers guests a luxurious, and comfortable stay in the bush. The tent has been designed to provide luxury and comfort, with a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom including a flushing toilet, indoor shower, double stone hand basins, as well as a free-standing bath indoors and a second bath outdoors. Guests can also enjoy the tranquillity of the bush while relaxing on their private wooden deck where a large sofa/day bed and table and chairs are situated.

Family Tent
One of Sayari’s 15 tented suites is a spacious, two-bedroom family suite suitable for two adults and three children under the age of 16. The main bedroom is similar to that of the other tents and has all the amenities you would expect: a king-sized bed, walk-in shower, huge bathtub with stunning views of the northern Serengeti, and of course, a spacious private veranda. The main bedroom is linked to the children’s room by a raised platform complete with safety railings. This second bedroom has three single beds with access to a spacious en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has a private veranda, so no one misses out on those fabulous views of the wilderness.
The 15 tented camp has two mess and dining areas to ensure intimacy and privacy.

Dining
Our breakfasts – which can be enjoyed in camp or out in the bush – include continental or full English breakfast options. The light buffet lunch spreads include a choice of salads, freshly baked breads and warm main course. If you are doing a full-day safari, you may choose to have lunch sent out to you to enjoy alfresco in the bush. The three-course dinners are delicious, elegantly plated meals with a choice of starter, main course and dessert.
When you are not out on game drives, relax in camp by the stunning swimming pool, or curl up with a book in the library area. If you would like to relax, there is a lovely pool at the camp which is very refreshing during the heat of the day. There are also some spa facilities if you would like to indulge in some pampering.
