Hidden among the trees within our picturesque grounds are our new Lake Suites. These six units (average size 66m²/710ft²), two of which are inter-connected, feature floor-to-ceiling windows, open plan bedroom and living spaces, king-size beds, and en-suite bathrooms with a bath and walk-in shower. Guests are escorted to their suites along a gravel lane past the tarn in our golf buggy.

The restaurant, Henrock (named after a rocky outcrop in Lake Windermere) is part of Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan’s empire, pioneers of farm-to-fork and local foraging, and whose base – and vast kitchen garden – is in Cartmel, 13 miles away. Described as ‘informally elegant’ dining, it’s a short menu of small and sharing plates.

Henrock’s kitchen team is led by Head Chef Brian Limoges who joins us from San Francisco after working in renowned restaurants such as Quince, Birdsong, and Atelier Crenn. True to the L’Enclume ethos, we will utilise local produce with items from “Our Farm”. However, Henrock offers small plates influenced by techniques and produce discovered on the chefs travels around the world.

Linthwaite House’s perennially popular light-filled Bar & Conservatory, with outstanding views of Windermere, will be serving handcrafted cocktails, an all-day dining menu (including pizzas to rival those of Florence) and a selection of afternoon teas.

Wander the 14 acres of grounds with croquet and boules pitches, small tarn and rowing boats, plus striking art installations. Wellies and walking routes are available.
