ACTIVITIES:
One of the oldest riding schools in the county, Barbarafield Riding School has over 300 acres of open farmland available for the experienced and beginner riders. Riding routes pass popular tourist attractions such as Scotstarvit Tower and the National Trust’s Hill of Tarvit Mansion House. Walk in the footsteps of the kings of Scotland along the Fife Coastal Path. This route takes you from the historic university town of St Andrews to the seaside resort of Elie. The nation’s leaders, noblemen and the holy top brass, have frequented the path linking the two communities over the centuries as they made their way to the cathedral town of St Andrews. Along the way, you can stop off at caves where they sheltered and enjoy views out to sea that kept them company all those years ago.
Enjoy a thrilling experience on a night time walking tour of the ancient town of St Andrews. Relive the history and legends of St Andrews on a Witches Tour where you can see the past unfold. The Original St Andrews Witches Tour run April – September on Friday’s at 20:00 (also Sunday in June and Thursday and Sunday in July and August), October – March, Friday at 19:30. The Royal Palace of Falkland, set in a unique medieval village, was the country residence and hunting lodge of eight Stuart monarchs, including Mary, Queen of Scots. Built between 1501 & 1541 the palace is an extremely fine example of Renaissance architecture, it includes the exceptionally beautiful Chapel Royal, and is surrounded by internationally known gardens, built in the 1950s. The Royal Tennis Court, reputedly the worlds oldest, is still used today.
Kellie Castle is known today as one of the finest castles in Scotland with its magnificent gardens and renowned architecture style. The oldest section of the castle dates as far back as 1360. Kellie Castle is a fine example of Scottish domestic architecture.
Glamis Castle is the family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne. It was the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, the birthplace of Her Royal Highness the Princess Margaret and the legendary setting of Shakespeare’s play, ‘MacBeth’. Glamis Castle has the reputation of being one of the most haunted castles in Scotland.

Kingdom of Fife Suite

Executive Suite
The Executive Suites are spacious and elegantly decorated suites. They offer a spacious bedroom and separate lounge (living room) with decorative electric fire, dining area and second plasma TV. The modern bathroom features a heated floor, luxurious bathtub with dual vanity units and separate walk-in shower. There is also a half bathroom off the lounge (aka “powder room” with a toilet and sink). Perfect for couples or families preferring more living space or business travellers that would like to host interviews or small meetings.

Deluxe Suite
The Deluxe Suites are spacious and elegantly decorated open-concept suites. They offer a sleeping area with a king bed, and a lounge area (living room) which has a sofa, chairs, coffee table and second plasma TV. The modern bathroom features a luxurious bathtub and separate walk-in shower. Deluxe Suites either boast a stunning Sea View or Resort View.

Junior Suite
Junior Suites consist of a spacious sleeping area with a king bed and a small living area with additional wall mounted plasma TV. To the side a decorative electric fire offers enhanced luxury. Rooms are open-concept and have one modern bathroom with separate walk-in shower. The junior suites have a range of views including Sea View and Resort View.

Studio Suite
Studio Suites are spacious, elegantly decorated rooms. The modern bathroom has a heated bathroom floor, separate walk-in shower and bathtub. Each room offers the latest in room amenities including satellite TV, dual phone lines, HSIA connection and US/UK compatible outlets. This St Andrews Hotel Suites also feature a work desk, speakerphone, and a separate modem connection.
