Designed by award-winning architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens, Time + Tide Chinzombo won Best New Property in Africa in 2014 and again in 2015. This wildly luxurious camp retains its bush authenticity with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas that melt into the exquisitely tranquil riverside setting. Each villa offers panoramic views of the Luangwa River and the abundant wildlife that frequents its banks. Sprawling, ancient shade trees and private plunge pools offer comfort and relaxation for guests staying in any one of the six stunning villas.
Venture into one of the most game rich areas of the national park with our award-winning guiding team. The South Luangwa is renowned for its world-class predator action, with especially strong sightings of the elusive leopard. Explore the region’s diverse habitats with game drives, safari walks and boat cruises (seasonal). Pamper yourself with an in-villa spa treatment during your midday break between safari activities. When acquiring Time + Tide Chinzombo’s location, a portion of the proceeds funded the relocation of black rhino to North Luangwa National Park, where the North Luangwa Conservation Programme operate a rhino breeding and reintroduction project.
All the villas are nestled within the shade of ancient trees on a wildlife-rich ridge that follows a c-shaped bend in the Luangwa River. The Chinzombo villas appear to float over the landscape. The simplicity of the modernist, steel framed structures in contrast to the natural materials used in the décor and interiors complements the surroundings in a unique way. The big family villa is designed to accommodate a family of at least five.

Six luxurious villas are tucked into the tree line overlooking the river and forest beyond. Each is designed with an exquisite eye for detail and flow – the open verandah and outdoor shower blend seamlessly with the interior spaces through a series of generously proportioned windows. Substantial bathrooms boast showers and gorgeous tubs, while the plunge pool on your private deck offers a quiet spot to cool off in the heat of the day. Bedrooms are ventilated through an innovative and eco-friendly design that ensures a cool, peaceful night’s sleep. One of the villas has an expanded design allowing for family use and can sleep up to five guests.
