Matetsi Private Game Reserve offers the most exclusive game viewing experience in the Victoria Falls area. Matetsi River Lodge: River Lodge comprises of two intimate river-facing camps. Each camp includes eight suites and one family suite. River Lodge guests are looked after by a personal butler, and have the option of booking a private safari vehicle.

River Lodge Suites
All suites are river-facing, providing stunning views over the Zambezi. Suites have their own private verandas for guests to relax in the outdoor seating area, or make full use of the private plunge pool. Each air-conditioned suite is fitted with a sumptuous king-size bed, circular bathtub, indoor and outdoor rain showers, a private plunge pool and decks that flank inspiring views of the Zambezi. The spacious River Lodge suites feature luxurious local and repurposed materials and design references to time-tested riverside living and fishing and weaving traditions of the region. Wide-spaced guest areas on the Eastern and Western sides of the lodge feature indoor and outdoor living and dining spaces, an interactive kitchen, bar, and boma. This offers an al fresco dining area around a blazing fire bowl under starlit skies.

Matetsi River House
Matetsi River House is the perfect retreat for large families or groups, with 4 bedrooms for private use. The River House has its own kitchen, both indoor and outdoor dining areas and private veranda. Guests at the River House even have access to their own private pool. Matetesi River House provides a handful of staff to accommodate guests during their stay, including a private guide, vehicle, chef and butler.

Zimbabwean Executive Chef, Shane Ellis, provides a fresh and evolving menu of international and local fine foods including Zambezi bream (fresh-water fish), vegetarian and vegan options and local highlights including venison, sadza (white cornmeal) and peanut butter rice which is much loved in the area.

The Wine Cellar
Tucked into the riverbank below the library, almost eye-level with the water, the wine cellar at Matetsi Victoria Falls is a firm favourite with our guests.
